I've liked Elixir strings since the first time I tried them. I like the tone, and for me they hold up better than any other brand of acoustic strings that I've used.

Wow, these strings make my guitar sound great. I thought that I just had a bad guitar, but as it turns out, new Elixir strings make my guitar sound completely different, completely awesome. So much bass, clear treble. Sound great while recording. Buy these strings!

The instructions are confusing. They tried to cram them all on the back of the small package and there is only one, useless drawing.

My chunk of wood is nothing like the photo and is, in fact, ugly (right half is really dark wood and left is really light).

This model holds up to 15 pounds, even if screwed into plain dry wall without a stud (package comes with drywall screws). I might trust my light strat on it, but, due to the fact this hanger projects so far out from the wall, I think this one is really meant for acoustic guitars. I'd get the electric/metal base model "String Swing" for a Les Paul or bass.

Other than that, this is a perfectly functional product and this seller shipped it within a few days. It arrived brand new and intact.

Well, overall it seems like a decent quality product. I used the provided plastic anchors on a wall w/o studs.Other reviewers say the anchors break easily...but they won't break if you know what you're doing. So far so good. However, the actual metal screws that hold the hanger onto the wall do not screw well into the plastic anchors and it feels like they are just sort of RESTING inside the anchors rather than being really SCREWED into the anchors. I will give this a try with my 8lb bass guitar (max recommended limit is 15lb) and really hope I don't end up regretting it.
