Bohemian Rhapsody Fingerstyle Guitar Video
I hope all you guys enjoy this Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen) fingerstyle guitar video. For a brief history regarding the masterpiece, i should say that whether you were one of the millions who gasped first time around the trend-setting promo video or you caught on later, you are sure to have been affected by this six-minute epic of epics. There are two schools of though when it comes to Bohemian Rhapsody. Either it is the greatest rock single of all time, or a bag of over-indulgent shite. Very rarely will it be described as “Okay.”
Let’s backtrack to July 1975 to picture an intimate scene… Freddie Mercury is at his Kenshington apartment entertaining Queen producer, Roy Thomas Baker, when he decides to give a preview of a new song he has just written. He stops halfway through and says, “And this is where the operah section comes in…” Little did Baker realize that Mercury’s flippant would result in the most technically challenging task he would ever undertake.
Bo Rap, as it is fondly abbreviated, was the summation of three months work in no less than five different recording studios Rockfield in Monmouth and London Studios Sarm East, Wessex, Scorpion and the Roundhouse. Recorded in three sections which were later edited by Baker, the sessions began at Rockfield on August 24,1975, when the band worked for several weeks on the backing track for this and other tracks (including bassist John Deacon’s classic You’re My Best Friend from their aptly-titled album, A Night at the Operah. With the backing completed Queen relocated to Scorpion and then Sarm east to layer the extensive vocals and May’s heroic guitar solo before attempting the problematic mix.
